Curriculum Update: November 30 - December 4

For the next few weeks, students will be learning to recognize fractions found all around them! Fractions are equal parts of a whole or set, and can be named in different ways. One way to name fractions in different ways is to find an equivalent fraction. The next time you and your child are outside, look for groups of people or objects of 12 or less. Ask your child to name some fractions shown in the group. For example, "What fractions of parked cars are red? What fraction of people are wearing a scarf?" When you start to look for them, you will realize that fractions are everywhere!
